Circular Port de la Picada per Pomero

Type of route:
Circular.

Description:

The excursion starts in the direction of the Puerto de la Picada and the Pomero canal, as it is indicated on the parking sign on the PR-115.1 path. There, we will find a beautiful and shady forest to go up in the direction of Pomero’s cabin. Once past the cabin, we will find the Ojos de Pomero where the water springs from the same meadow. The path will start to rise gradually by the slope of the Tuc de la Escaleta and this will take us to the Collado de Lunfern.

Once arrived at the hill, we will go to the Paso de La Escaleta in the northeast direction by an aerial road but built with stone to facilitate the passage. Once we have passed the most aerial section, we can choose between climbing the Tuc de la Escaleta or flanking its west slope halfway down. Any of these options will take

us to the Crabrirous ridge that we will descend towards the Monjoia pass. At this point, we will only have to go down through the PR-115 southeast direction.

At first, the road is milled, although in the meadow you have to be alert to find Aubert’s cabin, where the road is visible again. This way crosses the forest to reach the Mare de Déudera Artiga de Lin’s hermitage and retake the road to the car park.

Tuc de Molières by the pass of the Aranese.
